• A Director of Instruction license (10) or ability to obtain within two years is required:
o NOTE: Applicants that do not currently hold this license or have not completed a certification program awarding this license, may still qualify for the position if they enroll in and complete a certification program awarding the #10 Director of Instruction within 2 years. Until you complete the certification program, the District will request the license on your behalf upon appointment to the position for a maximum of two years.
• Minimum of five years successful school/district leadership and/or teaching experience.
Provides leadership, direction and supervision to MPS Language Acquisition and Cultural Programs and services, including programs for English language learners (ELLs) and developmental bilingual students in accordance with local, state and federal policies and guidelines. Supervises programs for First Nations students and Immersion. Serves as the district’s Title III Manager and is responsible for other associated grants (i.e. refugee grants).
