Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor�s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
2. Appropriate teaching certificate as issued by the State of Arizona to include vocational certification and endorsements.
Qualifications:
� Valid Arizona Teaching certificate
� Certain endorsement(s) may be required for certain positions
� Meet North Central Association (NCA) requirements in respective subjects, such as Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, or Foreign Language
� Music Endorsement desired
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
� Assist in the planning and implementation of a PreK-12 school music program
� Maintain and improve school music library
� Assist in facilitating the involvement of parents and community in music program
� Monitor student eligibility for extracurricular participation
� Prepare students for participation in individual and small group competition
� Demonstrate excellent communication skills
� Work successfully with diverse populations
� Demonstrate successful collaboration
� Promote learning and ensure safety
� Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in accordance with established curriculum and student need
� Assess student needs and performance
� Develop, implement and evaluate daily lesson plans, to include scheduled activities and materials
� Modify instruction to meet the needs of each child
� Plan, organize and display classroom materials appropriate to curricular activities
� Use and implement classroom management techniques to maintain organization, orderliness, student safety, and a productive learning environment
� Plan instruction and implement instructional techniques to encourage and motivate students
� Evaluate students� performance regarding achievements in curriculum and activities and make necessary provisions to meet learning needs
� Ensure parents and students are informed of methods of evaluation used in the classroom
� Inform parents of student progress and school activities
� Advise parents of instructional methods that may assist student
� Collaborate with specialists as needed to assist students
� Observe and monitor behavior of students
� Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
� Other duties as assigned by building Principal
